Job Requisition ID: 20916

All of our clients are transforming the way they do business with new, disruptive technologies such as Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, Blockchain and the Internet of Things. These are complex transformations which introduce new risks and uncertainties. Organisations need to be able to deploy them efficiently and in a controlled way. Successful deployment can drive cost efficiencies, innovation, new business models and a radical improvement in customer experience. But it is critical that the associated risks are managed effectively and in a way that does not put customers and reputations at risk.

For the right candidate there is an opportunity to play a significant role in redefining how digital disruptors are harnessed in a controlled way across Australia.
These new technologies and digital disruptors also present a huge opportunity to drive improvements to traditional risk management working practices and capabilities. This role provides the platform to influence and shape how complex transformation is delivered and how disruptive technologies can be used to manage risks at the speed and scale now required.

About the Team
Our Risk in Digital Transformation practice sits within our Risk Advisory practice. We support Australia’s largest organisations to help them reduce risks and improve outcomes from their most complex transformation projects by designing, implementing and assuring risk management approaches across technology and business functions.
Our Risk in Digital Transformation team is expanding as we help institutions to understand, assess and manage the risks they face as they embrace disruption, embed new technology and adopt different ways of working across their businesses. We know what goes wrong and what has to go right.

What will your typical day look like?

We are looking for a top performing professional to join this dynamic and fast-growing team to help us meet the demand for digital risk specialists. As a member of our Risk in Digital Transformation team the types of work you will be involved in include:

  • Advising on the risks facing digital transformations and ensuring that these are appropriately addressed at the right stage of implementations.
  • Designing and implementing target operating models for digital risk functions.
  • Defining and embedding risk management strategies for digital technologies such as automation, artificial intelligence and cloud.
  • Designing end to end risk management processes.
  • Embedding risk management solutions within client environments.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with our high-profile clients across all sectors of the economy, with likely focus on some of our biggest clients in retail banking, capital markets, insurance and NSW Government. There will also be the opportunity to engage with multi-disciplinary teams from across our business to draw together digital specialisms into client offerings.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you.
You are someone with:

  • Experience and knowledge of complex project and program delivery methods, including the implementation of technology solutions.
  • General knowledge of the latest technology trends (i.e. AI, Automation, Cloud, Agile and DevOps), how these are being deployed across Financial Services and/or other industry sectors, and an appreciation of the risks they present.
  • Good technology and/or industry experience obtained via a career in industry or another consultancy.
  • Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, question the status quo and deliver effectively against challenging objectives.
  • Experience of working in, or with, a Digital function, ideally on a change/transformation programme.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possible tertiary or project management qualifications (e.g. Agile, MSP, PMBOK, Gateway, Prince 2)
