You will leverage your technical space expertise and collaborate with a wide variety of teams across Deloitte Consulting, Risk Advisory, Financial Advisory and Tax to deliver an impact that matters to our clients in the space industry. This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra or Adelaide and we offere excellent work from home flexibility with DeloitteFlex.

Your role would involve:

  • Assessing the current state of the technical and scientific capabilities and products of space companies
  • Assessing the technical viability of space initiatives and supply chain implications
  • Exploring the space policy landscape in Australia
  • Working closely with the Deloitte Space leadership team to grow our space capability
  • Boosting your space industry knowledge across all areas of the space value chain
  • Working in an agile environment on solving business problems that deliver tangible results
  • Managing and supporting teams to deliver planned outcomes within project timelines
  • Building and maintaining a network of relationships across peers and senior leaders at Deloitte both within Australia as well as the region/ globally

This team works closely with specialist teams (such as Deloitte Monitor, Deloitte’s Global Investment and Innovation Incentives, Deloitte Access Economics, etc.) within each of Deloitte’s Business Units to bring cutting-edge thinking and execution ability to create an impact that matters.

Enough About Us, Let’s Talk About You

You are someone with:

  • Degree in Aerospace/Mechatronic/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or another relevant STEM discipline
  • At least 4 years’ experience in the space sector
  • Understanding of overall spacecraft system-level design, components, and execution of space program
  • Understanding of fundamentals of physics in terms of space environment, altitude controls, orbital dynamics
  • Capable of obtaining at minimum a Baseline Clearance
  • Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated team leadership, mentoring and proven capabilities in people management
  • Experience in complex problem solving with a track record managing streams of work to deliver outstanding results in compressed timelines
  • Ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Exceptional energy and drive
