The position

In this role, you will be providing effective and efficient support to the Commissioner for Consumer Protection (the Commissioner), and the Division's executive. You will manage the administrative support team to ensure effective support to directors and senior management across the Division.

Your key responsibilities include managing the Commissioner’s schedule and travel arrangement, ensuring confidentiality of records and facilitating efficient communication with internal and external stakeholders. You'll play a pivotal role in preparing high-level correspondence, Ministerial briefings, Cabinet submissions, and responses to Parliamentary Questions. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to drive complex projects of cross-Divisional importance, conducting in-depth research and implementing sensitive initiatives.

This position is located in Perth (however, you may be required to work at other sites as required).

What are we looking for?

To be considered further, please submit a detailed CV and a covering letter (of no more than two (2) pages) addressing the following;

  • Demonstrated high level experience in an administrative support role at Executive level, including working independently and high degree of autonomy.
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to weigh up the relative importance and urgency of competing work priorities and meet competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team delivering efficient administrative support service.
