Asset Engineering and Information Technician

About the role:

In this new role you will be working within the contract team. The Asset Engineering and Information Technician supports the Asset Engineer and Asset Information Manager to provide technical asset management services, enhancing our services to our clients and supporting contract operations teams.

The primary role for this position is to ensure that engineering processes and deliverables that are related to infrastructure asset management are carried out to the Downer standard, analyse and manage asset information data, assist with the set up of hardware and software systems used in the collection of asset data and assist with field training of the kapa.

About you:

Along with your positive attitude, commitment to quality and a supportive and safe workplace, there are a few other essentials to what we are looking for:

  • Passion, drive and enthusiasm and highly self-motivated to drive business results
  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate technical issues in a clear manner
  • Some industry experience and knowledge
  • Ability to manage and develop effective working relationships
  • Role modelling the Tikanga, Manaaki, Whanau, Ngakau Pono and Kairangatira
  • Ability to conduct some travel
  • Desirable to hold or be working toward a tertiary engineering or information technology qualification
  • Advantageous to have experience in contract engineering, spatial analysis or information management
