Working within the Downer Taupo, Transport team, the Renewals Project Manager is responsible for the planning and delivery of all aspects of renewal activities including:

  • Pavement
  • Surfacing including road marking
  • Minor safety improvements
  • Bridge Maintenance
  • Drainage

You will ensure that the deliverables are achieved making best use of supply chain partner and internal resources, with a focus on achieving outstanding outcomes for the customers of the Taupo Network.

You will manage the processes associated with the provision of the physical works including safety, traffic management, quality, environmental, financial, resource management in the delivery of assigned works to ensure the Taupo meets the required levels of service.

About you:
You'll bring with you proven experience working on renewal activities, and the ability to demonstrate good understanding of construction processes, plant suitability and productivity. Some survey experience would be beneficial. We'd also value:

  • A tertiary qualification preferably in Business Management or Civil Engineering or equivalent in proven working experience
  • The ability to create and deliver a strong customer focus culture, and a collaborative approach to develop client relationships
  • Attested successful Contract Management knowledge and experience ideally within Road Maintenance, Utilities and/or Construction
  • Experience of business development in a commercial environment
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with an ability to influence others

Ultimately you will work collaboratively with the management team to maximise Downer’s commercial success through the development and implementation of Downer business strategies and processes.
