The National Finance Manager will be instrumental in setting the financial management and investment strategy for the Downer Energy, New Zealand business, as part of the Trans - tasman finance team your remit will be to ensure that the business manages and maintains a complete and accurate ledger of accounts as well as developing and maintaining a comprehensive and effective financial control framework. In addition, you will provide functional leadership to a team of ten ensuring that comprehensive and accurate monthly forecasts are delivered upon.

Nga pukenga matua | Important Skills

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting or post graduate qualifications preferred
• Previous collaboration with internal stakeholders to maximise project profitability
• Ability to develop and implement business strategies with a short and long term focus
• Sound understanding of developing clear financial strategies and mapping out key objectives, investment strategies, potential risks and controls within a contracting project environment
• Significant exposure to ERP systems (JDE preferable) coupled with advanced Excel
• Exposure to data analytics/reporting tools (Power Bi preferable)
• Preparation of business plans budgets, reviews and management of financial information including producing reports to internal and external stakeholders on a monthly and quarterly basis.
