Onsite Desktop Technicians – Multiple Locations

We are looking for two experienced Onsite Desktop Technician’s to join our Workspace Services team located onsite at multiple clients in Christchurch.

We are expanding our services and welcoming 4 new onsite roles across the country within our key government client in NZ. One of these roles is a visible Advanced onsite technician based in Wellington at the client’s premises. You will work alongside a more junior onsite technician who will look up to you for technical development and guidance.

Can you take ownership of technical troubleshooting with a can-do attitude?

The Desktop Support is part of an “IT Connect Bar” model, a “walk-up” IT support service which will involve users bringing their device to you for troubleshooting. With a focus on first touch resolution, you will be someone who really knows their stuff and can take end to end ownership of issue resolution. You will be the representation of Fujitsu on-site!

To thrive in the role, we anticipate you will need to have:

  • A clear and confident communication style with the ability to build and develop strong customer relationships
  • Strong Technical knowledge of hardware and peripherals incl laptops, notebooks, workstations desktop PC’s, printers, media and audio-visual equipment BYOD and mobility
  • Sound Knowledge of desktop & software applications incl Operating Systems (Windows 7 through 10), Microsoft Office 2007 through to 365, Antivirus software and systems
  • Strong Understanding in Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SCCM, End-Point Imaging
  • Working knowledge of basic IT infrastructure and network equipment i.e. routers, switches, servers, virtualization, VPN, RSA, Citrix, VMware, Hyper-Converged Infrastructures
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework and previous use of an Incident Management tool
  • A relevant IT qualification / certification

    This is a client facing role and we are looking for someone who has strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure and can provide solutions and deliver a high-quality service to a key Fujitsu client within a corporate environment.
