We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced construction machine operator to work on the Cameron Road project in Tauranga!

About the role

You will be responsible for overseeing the drainage crew and ensuring day-to-day task requirements are completed effectively. This is an awesome opportunity for an experienced foreperson, or someone with drainage experience looking to take a step up in their career.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with the relevant instruction and specifications

  • Developing and coaching your crew to develop their skillsets

  • Ensuring your team complies with Health & Safety policies and legislations, to maintain the safety of yourself, your team and the public

About you

Our ideal Drainage Foreperson should have:

  • A full class 2 licence with WTR endorsements (essential)

  • Previous experience in the civil drainage/construction industry

  • Ability to read and understand plans

  • Great time management skills to ensure goals and deadlines are met

  • A safety-first approach to ensure the safety of yourself, your team and the public

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • A positive, can-do attitude with proven ability to lead a team
