The Opportunity
Our Walkerston Bypass Project based in Mackay, is now seeking a Junior Contracts Administrator, who is wishing to capitalise on their experience, and skills in influencing, innovation and resilience, by complimenting a dynamic team environment.
This role can either be based in Mackay, or in Brisbane, with travel required to site as required.
Your Contribution
- Understanding all aspects of the construction contracts and determining key areas of financial risk;
- Preparing bills of quantities and managing cost control;
- Sourcing appropriate subcontractors and ensuring favourable commercial terms are obtained in accordance with Company subcontracting protocols, including standardised terms of contract and insurances review;
- Administrating sub-contractor and client variation & EOT claims;
- Dealing with sub-contractor and client payment claims;
- Liaising closely with the Senior Project Manager and the project team;
- Ensuring monthly financial reporting requirements are met based on disciplined forecasting and tracking of revenue and costs;
- General commercial administration and document control.

You will hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, with a focus in Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchasing and/or Contract Administration. Relevant experience in a company with a mature purchasing function, including experience in the selection of suppliers and subcontractors - inquiry and negotiation. And have alignment with our values of Respect, Energy & Effort, and Attitude & Leadership.
