Greyhound Racing Victoria (GRV) is the statutory authority responsible for regulating, conducting and promoting greyhound racing in Victoria, a sport that annually generates around $550 million in economic activity, over $3 billion in wagering and directly involves over 15,000 people. The Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP) is a key component of GRV’s animal welfare strategies, providing retired greyhounds the opportunity to become a cherished family pet.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the GAP Operations Manager, we are seeking motivated people to join the GAP team. You will ensure all the daily needs of the greyhounds are met including feeding, watering, exercising, providing enrichment and cleaning out the kennels.

  • The team works across seven days 7.30am to 4.00pm
  • Weekday and weekend rosters available
  • Casual shifts available

About You

We are seeking candidates who have:

  • Experience and/or confidence in handling larger breed dogs in a safe manner
  • Experience in an animal shelter or kennel, desirable
  • Post-secondary studies in animal care or welfare, desirable
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Sound MS Office and records maintenance skills
  • A Victorian driver’s licence.
