Ngadju Employment Traineeships at IGO

IGO Nova are launching the Ngadju Employment Traineeship Program for a start in early 2025. This program aims to increase the employment opportunities with the Traditional Owners connected to the land where the Nova mine site operates.

IGO is a fast growing, mid-tier Australian mining company with ambitious growth aspirations. Our 100% owned Nova Operation located on Ngadju country is a world class underground mine and processing plant producing nickel, copper and cobalt; commodities that are significant in the world’s drive for clean energy.

THE OPPORTUNITY

• Traineeships will be based at Nova, but not restricted to the Nova site;
• You will gain education and exposure to mining operations and systems;
• The program will run for a period of 2 years of full time employment with IGO;
• Roles are Fly in / Fly Out (FIFO) or Drive in / Drive Out (DIDO) based;
• At Nova site rosters are 8 days on and 6 days off or 4 days on and 3 days off (role dependent); and
• For Field Services the roster is 15 days on and 13 days off.

IGO offers a range of opportunities to gain experience across the entire exploration and mining cycle. Applicants will have a choice to rotate through different areas depending on interests.

• Warehousing
• Accounting
• Administration

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants must be of Ngadju heritage
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a valid C-Class Manual Drivers Licence
• Successfully pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
• Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn
