About the role:
Based at our Hume, ACT depot, the primary purpose of this role is to construct the natural gas network in the ACT and surrounding areas.
We are looking for candidates who have an interest in getting started within the Gas industry and are willing to learn from the ground up. On the job training will be provided to candidates who have a can-do attitude.
This position will be paid in line with our Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, with attractive rates, overtime rates, fortnightly rostered days off, annual leave loading among many other generous benefits. We will provide full on-the-job training, including any required tickets, licenses, certificates and inductions, for the right candidate.
Once trained, your responsibilities will include:
- Use of earth moving equipment and other construction equipment to install new gas networks and services.
- This position will be predominantly field based and work within a small construction team and external contractors as required.
A class 3 medium rigid truck license and relevant construction tickets (White card, traffic management etc.) are required for this role. Any previous experience in these areas would be beneficial, but not essential and we are prepared to support, train and develop the right candidate in attaining these.
You will be a hardworking, motivated, safety focused team player who is always working to find the best solution. You will effectively coordinate and communicate with a range of stakeholders and once trained, have the ability to work in a field environment with limited supervision.
