About the role:

Due to continued growth our NSW team is expanding. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Operations Manager or Team Leader looking for their next step to join Johnson Controls.

This is a hands-on role, and you will take ownership for the HVAC Service delivery functions for the Newcastle based Regional Service team, including management of WIP, L&M pipeline & labour resourcing and planning.

What you will do:

  • Hands on role, leading the field team to achieve operational KPIs

  • Drives operational excellence

  • Manages the WIP list

  • Review and management of schedules and reports

  • Conduct customer account reviews

  • Oversee contract renewal activities

  • Drive L&M pipeline management activities

  • Manage labour resourcing, forecasting and planning activities

  • Manage technician development through on-the-job training, coaching, performance management

  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding activities for new technicians

  • Undertake field ride-along’s with technicians

  • Up to 50% of the role will require you to be on the tools

What are we looking for:

  • Experience with HVAC projects

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Leadership skills

  • Strong organizational, administrative skills and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines

  • High level of expertise in MS Office software including Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Capable of working efficiently in a fast pace environment and under pressure

  • Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently
