The role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Building Consultant. This role will see you sit within the Building Consultancy team, where you will be exposed to varied projects and clients across the board. The successful candidate will be highly organised, and deadline driven. This is a fast-paced role which will also give you the opportunity to travel interstate. We are seeking an enthusiastic team player who is keen to join a successful team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide building consultancy advice to new and existing clients
  • Make good assessments and negotiations
  • Technical Due Diligence and Capital Expenditure reporting
  • Reinstatement cost assessments
  • Project management (as required)
  • Defect diagnosis and schedules of condition
  • Ensure that long term relationships are maintained in addition to developing new client relationships

The Person:

  • Member of the RICS (Desirable but not essential)
  • A minimum of 3 years' relevant industry experience
  • Good understanding of relevant building legislation
  • Good understanding of financial reports
  • Familiarity with processes involved project delivery from inception to completion
  • Ability to develop and maintain a network of contacts
  • Identify new business.
  • Involvement in all aspects of key service lines - project management, contract administration, make goods, budget costings, defect diagnosis.
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to travel both within the state and nationally as required
  • Ability to uncover and understand client objectives
