The role:

Our Asset Management Services (AMS) Team is regarded as a leader in the provision of property management services to some of Australia's most respected institutional and corporate clients.

As a Trainee Commercial Property Manager (with an operations focus) within the AMS Division, you will support a team of professionals who are driven to get the best results from each day. Through a variety of administrative, reporting and compliance related duties, you will be the conduit to success in this busy and challenging role.

We are seeking a candidate looking to establish and progress in a rewarding career of commercial property management. Under the direction of the Asset Managers, you will deliver onsite facilities management to ensure the safety, presentation and comfort of tenants, staff, suppliers, contractors and visitors in a manner which promotes a high level of customer service to all stakeholders; whilst assisting and learning the role of a Commercial Property Manager.

Key responsibilities:

Supporting the Asset Managers with all general day to day activities including clerical support with a primary function of coordinating operationsand other tasks including but not limited to the following:

  • Assist and liaise with the Asset Managers regarding repairs and maintenance programs for managed assets (commercial, office, retail and industrial)
  • Coordinate quotes and work orders and engage trades/contractors
  • Induct and set up of new contractors within internal systems
  • Provide progress updates on project works being undertaken
  • Assist in coordinating WHS, compliance and capital works programs
  • Ensure properties are compliant with periodical inspections eg fire services and reporting
  • Conduct inspections using IT platforms that generate appropriate reporting
  • Liaise with Asset Managers to approve and arrange for the payment of all invoices relating to costs incurred in running the property

Key requirements:

  • Good MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills
  • Be a confident communicator with a demonstrated ability to engage with the team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work outdoors in addition to the office environment
  • Current driver’s licence
