Currently we have a great opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team. This is a 12 month fixed term contract position. In this role you will be responsible for delivering expert HR advice and support to managers and employees across the business. Reporting to the VP of People and Culture, you will support on delivering and implementing key people initiatives and annual HR activities across MessageMedia in APAC.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deploy critical HR activities, such as engagement surveys, salary review processes
  • Lead the IDP process across the organisation whilst coaching and supporting managers to improve performance and develop capability across our teams
  • Lead key compliance programs including, data gathering and submission for the Workplace Gender and Equality Agency
  • Work together with the broader business to identify and drive improvements in employee engagement
  • Management of salary benchmarking of positions using applicable systems and relevant regional market data
  • Provide timely and accurate expert advice on the management of employee relations matters including assisting with interpretation and application of employment legislation within APAC
  • Manage employee investigations and disciplinary matters including employee warnings and dismissals
  • Work closely with the Payroll Manager to support any legislative changes and compliance
  • Ensure our business remains compliant with all relevant people legislation (OH&S, Fair Work, EEO) via appropriate policy, procedure, and training
  • Support the wider HR team with adhoc duties

The preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience.

  • Tertiary qualifications majoring in Human Resources, Industrial relations, or Employment law
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a fast paced, similar role would be preferred
  • Experience in a Tech or SaaS business is preferred, not essential
  • Demonstrated experience and a solid working knowledge of employee relations/employment law
  • Demonstrated operational HR Generalist experience
  • Demonstrated experience building strong internal and external relationships/stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated experience leading and delivering on Key HR projects
  • Demonstrated high-level problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, think creatively and recommend strategies and opportunities for resolution
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills
  • A collaborative approach.
