About the role
Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) is embarking on a once in a lifetime generational change due to the investment in new infrastructure such as Melbourne Tunnel Project (MTP) and Melbourne Airport Rail (MAR), resulting in a growing network and the opportunity to deliver year on year innovative transport solutions for the city of Melbourne.
We are seeking an experienced and highly driven leader to step into an outstanding role within our MTP Operations and Passenger Delivery Team. As the Operations Interface Manager you will ensure that the project and business are aligned during the project lifecycles for the various systems and processes. Other responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
  • manage the Process Proving activities, including chairing the Process Proving Working Group.
  • accurately maintain dashboards and ensure that reporting across the various programme streams for all stakeholders is aligned.
  • will act as second in command for the Head of Operational Readiness and deputise as required
About you
You will be a highly effective communicator with proven experience in working within a complex, multi stakeholder project environment or similar. In addition, you will possess:
  • Experience working with Rail Operating rules and procedures will be highly regarded
  • Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with experience delivering change management programs
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders, to achieve outcomes
  • Ability to develop detailed plans and procedures
  • Ability to interpret complex plans and identify risk
  • Ability to author high-quality documentation
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to.
