We are currently looking for Project Services (Reporting) Analyst to lead data analytics and reporting support to the MAR portfolio. This includes managing and improving data structures as the Portfolio moves from construction to test & commission phase; as well as managing a suite of reporting templates to allow for core portfolio data to be managed and presented centrally and developing portfolio wide analytics of the data to aide and improve decision making by the Leadership Teams.

You will be supporting the successful delivery of what will be one of the most iconic projects in Melbourne, the highly anticipated Melbourne Airport Rail (MAR) Project!

This is a unique and exciting role as you will support various projects and gain exposure to multi-disciplinary teams this will enable you to further your experience and develop a long-term career with Metro.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Maintain and improve the suite of MAR portfolio status reports to cover all project functions, including cost, schedule, SERQ, People, Risk, and others
  • Facilitate monthly review meetings, attended by functional owners and management teams
  • Maintain and improve the Portfolio resource forecast, including monthly updates, and providing outputs for divisional workforce planning as well as portfolio forecasting
  • Enhance all levels of reporting, including client, business and portfolio to create efficiencies in report creation as well as improving the effectiveness of outputs.
  • Process large amounts of detailed project data to develop various reports tailored for a range of management levels
  • Interface with the Divisional Project Services team to ensure MAR data management and reporting will interface with divisional reporting
  • Adherence to all reporting legislative and regulatory requirements

About You

  • Tertiary qualification in financial management, Business or Engineering
  • Substantial experience providing service across multiple business areas in a large organisation
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and experience using Power BI data analytics
  • Experience and knowledge in financial management, financial reporting systems, management information systems
  • Demonstrated ability to extract, analyse and present statistical data in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and consultation expertise
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement across multi-disciplinary organisations
  • Ability to schedule work priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to whilst managing complex situations, having solid problem solving and negotiating skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally & written will all levels of stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to write reports and manage time effectively.
