Building our Talent
Due to an internal secondment, we are recruiting a Senior HR Manager to join the QLD Construction team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The role of the Senior HR Manager is to operate strategically, drive innovation and support change to help maintain employee engagement, the right working environment and a high performing culture across the QLD region. The key to success in this role is partnering with the regional leadership team to manage and deliver all relevant People and HR activities in order to strengthen the retention and purpose of employees and to provide practical HR guidance.
Tertiary qualified, you are a seasoned HR professional who has the ability to resolve complex HR issues and you are able to build strong, effective working relationships across the board. This role will see you: act as a trusted business partner supporting the regional construction leaders to ensure the HR cyclical process and business outcomes are delivered; contribute to the Regional Strategy; manage a small regional HR team; work with the broader national HR team on various initiatives such as flexibility/D&I and provide expert advice across Culture, Workforce planning, Talent & Learning, Performance and Remuneration and Rewards.
We are looking for someone who can bring energy and motivation into the team and can operate at a strategic and operational level. Other important skills you have will include general knowledge of EBA and relevant industry awards, the ability to influence others, experience managing end to end performance management processes and managing a small team, the ability to coach/counsel employees and be someone who can resolve complex HR issues.
