We have opportunities for Quality Engineers from Analyst through to Management level where you be part of our Technology Team.

As part of a specialist Quality Engineering team, you will work across all disciplines (Performance Engineering, Service Virtualization and Quality Analytics), to enable and transform quality practices within the bank’s platform teams.  Deliver performance testing solutions, test scripts and result analysis for the successful implementation of services to production.

The role and day to day will include:

  • Implementing & monitoring quality metrics including trend analysis of discrepancies and defects
  • Validating that NFRs for software components to be implement for the software and Infrastructure user stories
  • Developing performance automation scripts to validate the NFRs criteria contained in the user stories
  • Driving investigations into problems and correction actions relating to recurring problems
  • Logging quality defects (Defects with all details and explanations) which helps development & SRE team to fix the issues faster
  • Validating the scripts that deploy the software components onto the infrastructure
  • Ensuring that quality and SDLC procedures defined for the position within the service are followed, along with Automation approach with a focus on the importance of NFRs through all phases on the SLDC
  • Successfully implementing Performance Engineering frameworks and sufficiently up skill asset team capability to self-service with minor trailing help
  • Ability to take system logs, monitoring dashboards and other inputs to predict, identify issues and resolve performance bottleneck within the Service Platform
  • Application and integration of the “shift left” performance engineering approach across platform ensuring testing, performance and quality are embedded in day one of development

What will you bring:

  • Experience in Performance testing tools (JMeter, Performance Centre, Gatling), Performance Analysis and tuning web and application-based applications at scale
  • Experience in Application and Infrastructure Performance Monitoring and Analytics Tools (such as AppDynamics, Nagios, CA Wily Introscope, Splunk)
  • Software development, programming, or scripting languages (Java, J2EE, Ruby, Python, Perl, Shell)
  • Linux administration (Debian, Ubuntu and RHEL) and standard UNIX utilities and programs Version control (Git, SVN)
  • Database technologies like Oracle or SQL
  • AWS or other Cloud Computing experience
