The role:

As our new Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for the ongoing development, optimisation, implementation and monitoring of the business lending portfolio acquisition and portfolio management automated and assisted credit decisioning strategies with guidance & support of the Manager, Business Credit Strategies.

Your role plays a critical part in the ongoing development of the credit risk strategies designed to simplify, streamline and automate credit processes for our business lending customers while maintaining the stated risk appetite, achieving target risk adjusted returns and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will use vast amount of data, analytics, machine learning, statistical techniques as well as credit risk portfolio management methods to drive business outcomes. The results and recommendations of your work are presented to a wide range of key technical and non-technical stakeholders across the enterprise for the purpose of securing endorsement and initiating the required changes to implement.

The role recognises the enterprise tilt towards Business segments, the focus on a leading customer experience and using data and analytics to simplify and automate credit processes for our customers, bankers, brokers and operations partners. Your role will be key to continue to drive best in class experience for our business lending customers for Australia’s leading business bank.

What you will bring:

You will bring yourself to this role! You are a data and analytics professional with proven knowledge and experience in undertaking data manipulation, quantitative analysis and providing insights. Credit risk knowledge is desirable. You have proven experience in one or more of SAS/SQL/Python/R and love playing with data, and using analytics to solve business problems that make a tangible difference for SME customers, bankers and partners.

You are curious, customer-focussed, a team player and natural when it comes to strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement. You have strong attention to detail and enjoy providing decisions/recommendations that are data driven.
