We currently have an Associate Director, DCO Technology Insights role available. This role partners with the Executive, DCO Technology to ensure smooth functioning of the team including supporting in execution of the team’s strategy and driving a strong proactive risk culture.

About You

You will have a minimum 5 years' experience in operational risk management and a comprehensive knowledge of risk management and technology controls framework. You will have a track record and proven ability to perform in a high performing team with a demonstrated practical approach to solving issues with strong commercial acumen. Knowledge of relevant industry standards desirable (e.g., ISO 27001, COBIT, NIST, ISO 31000, CPS 234/CPG 235). Experience in first line supporting technology Risk and control function is essential.


You have a strong background in risk, controls and compliance, with broad technology experience including control design / development. Being a part of this team requires passion, drive and a great work ethic and you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reporting to the Executive, DCO Technology, in this role you will be responsible for working proactively in a team supporting the execution of Line 1 risk management accountabilities.
  • Support in leading and growing the operational capability in DCO Technology including strategic direction and roadmap for the function.
  • Coordination, guidance and review of reports such as GNFRC, Board, Risk committees and forums.
  • Engaging and managing senior stakeholders to help implement and improve business systems and processes through the use/integration of the risk and compliance framework.
  • Working with the business to implement systems and controls to manage the requirements of operational risk and compliance policies which apply to the business
  • Risk profiling: assisting to identify key risks and design of indicators to monitor, input into Divisional Risk Setting Statements as relevant
  • Providing specific input and context as required to: Risk deep dive reviews; Internal Audit reviews; Assurance reports; Action plans for ineffective operational controls
    Uplifting risk management maturity and practices

Accountabilities

  • Providing specialist Operational Risk and Compliance Policy and Framework advice and guidance to the business
  • Uplift in the delivery of the DCO technology outcomes
  • Exceptional communication with key Divisional and Line 2 Risk stakeholders
