Our team are looking for someone who has a passion for property lending and strives to achieve the best outcomes for our customers. As an experienced Senior Business Banking Manager you will source new property transactions, structure complex property deals and liaise with clients and advocates in the property industry. This opportunity will see you managing an existing diverse portfolio which is well positioned for growth, whilst being responsible for driving the growth of the portfolio, you will be imparting specialist advice and actively pursuing revenue growth from existing clients. Your ability to establish business and community networks in the property industry along with your strong relationship building and interpersonal skills are essential to your success in this position.
Additional responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Assessing property development and investment transactions
- Preparing and submitting property lending proposals
- Maintaining and enhancing the credit risk profile and profitability of the portfolio
- Utilising a structured sales approach to build and leverage relationships with specialists to deepen customer advocacy
- Developing and improving professional excellence through the management of individual and team performance; and
- Effective sourcing of new business relationships

What you will bring to this role:
You are an experienced Business Banking Manager with expertise in Commercial Real Estate (preference that you hold a business related degree and/or post-graduate professional qualification (generally CA, PY, ACCA, MBA, CIB)) coupled with proven experience in acquiring new business while retaining our valued customers. Your superior networking and interpersonal skills and experience within business banking and/or credit assessment of around 4-8 years will set you up for success.
You can demonstrate through your years of experience within Commercial Real Estate the hidden nuances and intricacies of what commercial property can offer including a comprehensive understanding of business/commercial practices, BFS products and services etc. These inner workings and knowledge within Commercial Real Estate will set you apart from other candidates. Your ability to engage and build relationships with stakeholders along with your ability to work with complexity whilst balancing conflicting priorities will ensure your success in this role. You are skilled at driving efficiencies and effectiveness across the team, business partners and overall value chain by modelling NAB’s values and behaviours.
