About the role:

Client Coverage is part of NAB’s Corporate & Institutional Banking business, operating globally with teams in Australia, Asia, UK, Paris and New York. The team partners with Australia’s largest publicly listed and privately owned corporations as well as global private capital and funds clients to offer market-leading support in financing solutions, transaction banking and cash management, interest rate and FX risk management, guidance on sustainability resilience and sustainability linked products and asset distribution.

As a member of the Client Coverage Leadership Team (CCLT), the Director role will see you work closely with the CCLT, Coverage and other teams across C&IB to support key strategic and operational priorities. It is a fast paced and dynamic role focused on delivering on the overall goals set out for the Client Coverage team.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Support the Executive in translation of the C&IB strategy into the Coverage Customer strategy and goals and delivery or monitoring of key strategic priorities
  • Align the CCLT and elevate the focus on key client, business and financial objectives
  • Own and deliver key C&IB initiatives that are focused on Client Coverage
  • Develop and execute a high quality cadence/agenda for CCLT, Client Council, Offsites, People Days, and ensure follow-through on key actions
  • Proactively manage risk; meet all policy and compliance requirements and oversight progress of key customer and business issues
  • Input to and delivery of content for senior audiences including Group, CEO, Board and ELT papers as required
  • Collaborate and actively work with wider C&IB and Enterprise partners
  • Engage senior executives and business partners across C&IB and NAB to report and update on business initiatives and/or issues

About you:

To be considered you'll have significant experience working at senior levels within complex environments and a high degree of business acumen that will enable credibility when working with the business. This role requires outstanding interpersonal and communication skills combined with strong influencing and negotiating abilities to leverage relationships and networks to secure desired outcomes. Along with strong stakeholder management, interpretation and problem resolution skills, a sound knowledge of Australian and global Corporate and Institutional Banking markets, product types and client segments will be essential to the success of this role.

Further, you'll be achievement focused and an innovative self-starter with a strategic mindset and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a broader team. You will be comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and have the capability to effectively manage conflicting priorities and competing stakeholder expectations, while delivering to high standards.
