The Role

Technology Markets team is looking for a Senior Analyst Engineer, who is responsible for supporting production infrastructure and software. A strong focus is placed on support capabilities, including identifying areas of process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the review and redesign of processes or procedures, on an ongoing basis, to deliver improved team productivity or efficiency
  • Accountable for monitoring progress of requests and ensuring users and other interested parties are kept informed. Take corrective action to avoid or minimize delays
  • Perform non-prod dry run to validate deployment scripts feedback to dev on errors / findings.
  • Perform Production releases, normally weekend tasks and where required TVT activities.
  • Ensure all significant incidents have a post incident assessment and root cause analysis completed and documented in NAB Service Now tracking tool.
  • Perform general application health checks and 24/6 on call availability, respond to application alerts, troubleshoot problems on infra / application exceptions.
  • Primary escalation points for application incidents and production support issues.
  • Participate in Disaster recovery events and function as touchpoint for all infra upgrades / updates and as resource for technical verification during weekend activity.
  • Involvement with all aspect of Critical Hygiene Framework (CHF), to ensure all metrics across multiple systems are tracked and addressed within required time frames.
  • Primary point of contact in ensuring Vulnerabilities are addressed.
  • Work with Business Analysts to develop detailed program specifications from system or functional specifications to enable effective development of programs.
  • Conduct post implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of the Technology solution provided.
  • Ensure all work within area of responsibility is carried out and documented in accordance with required standards, methods and procedures to ensure information retention and re-use.

What you will bring

  • Experience in Production Support environment across all aspects of Incident, Problem, Change and Risk management
  • Experience in JAVA
  • Advanced skills and knowledge across the major relational database packages e.g. Linux, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, Windows
  • Knowledge across Control-M
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent skills in time and resource management.
  • Experience GRACE, raising and managing EVE’s, FND’s and TP’s. CTLR experience most welcome too.
  • Knowledge of JIRA.
  • Knowledge of addressing vulnerabilities beneficial.
  • Demonstrable experience, Exam qualified, in the AWS space with (EC2, VPC, EBS, S3, Autoscaling, ELB
