A strong focus is placed on development and operations of current and new critical services to be implemented as aligned to the Financial Crime Technology Sanctions Road Map. This includes analysis of business requirements, design, build, and operationalisation of new business solutions and functions (software, services) with an innovative approach.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, and outcome driven working collaboratively within the team and the Enterprise.

The role and day to will include

  • Operations: Maintain and support sanctions applications and related infrastructure according to service level agreement, documentation of application/service design and operational procedures, knowledge management, service management, environment support, control, and compliance
  • Development: Designing, coding, testing, and deploying new sanctions screening or similar applications, services or functions across multiple platforms predominantly in cloud environments.
  • Collaborating with business and technology teams to evaluate, integrate IT applications and services or provision of service and infrastructure to meet Sanctions business objectives
  • Ensuring that systems and services are developed within agreed budgets and time frames, meeting design requirements, security standards, compliance, and control requirements
  • Driving new ways of working and process improvement, maintaining critical hygiene in service and delivery management
  • Providing technical mentoring, coaching and guidance to team members.
  • Act as a point-of-escalation and subject matter expert for Production incidents outside of business hours, including overnight and on weekends
  • Automate and accelerate testing, release, and continuous delivery into Production
  • Operate in an agile environment, creating and maintaining user stories

What you will bring

  • Experience in Sanctions Screening Applications (NetReveal, FircoSoft), related Payment or Trade Finance systems
  • SWIFT payment MT/MX or Trade Finance Sanctions screening will be advantages
  • Strong skill in one or more of the major programming languages, scripting languages & frameworks (Java, JavaScript, Shell, Python, Spring-boot, Apache Camel)
  • Experience skills in relational and non-relational databases such as SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, DynamoDB
  • Knowledgeable in REST APIs, messaging (MQ) and event streaming (Kafka)
  • Configure, deploy and maintain compliant Sanctions services and environments in AWS
  • Infrastructure as Code and the use of tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory, Ansible and similar tools
  • Stakeholder Management in a dynamic changing environment.
  • Working in collaborative, enterprise, and agile team environments and use of collaboration tools such as Jira, Rally, Confluence, Teams
  • Cloud Certification and experience will be advantages
  • Excellent time and resource management in a dynamic team environment
