A fantastic opportunity at nbn, Australia’s largest infrastructure project, as the Senior Development Engineer, reporting to the Manager Big Data and Microservices. This role will be part of the DevSecOps Data Services team.

A bit about your role

As the Senior Development Engineer, you will provide support across the entire application and delivery lifecycle. This includes working with Architecture in solutioning, estimation, and working on epics to delivering on the business capabilities and ensuring platform stability.

Being the technical lead, you are to design, develop and operate complex solutions and be involved in the resolution of complex issues. You will participate in pre-PI and PI planning activities including estimation of user stories as well as resource planning of demand vs capacity. Moreover, you will support the running of Agile ceremonies and ensure timely delivery of assigned stories.

A bit about you

The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience developing and deploying API/Microservices using Java 8+, Spring boot and/or object-oriented programming principles. You have hands-on experience building APIs and Microservices on AWS technologies such as EKS, APIGW, Lambda, ElasticSearch, or DynamoDB. Experience with CI/CD and BDD using frameworks like cucumber, gherkins would be highly regarded.

You will bring strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field will be valuable.
