A fantastic opportunity at nbn, Australia’s largest infrastructure project, as the Manager Environment Assurance, reporting to the Executive Manager, National Test Facility, where you will join the Integrated Network Environment Service (INES) team, a key pillar within the IT Network and Service Operations business unit.

A bit about your role

The Integrated Network Environment Service (INES) team is a customer-centric organisation responsible for delivering environment services that consistently meet expectations and supports the delivery of testing outcomes. INES is accountable for building, operating, and maintaining the integrated network environment supporting nbn Co’s IT/OSS and network capabilities across its fixed, wireless, and satellite technologies, as well as the underlying infrastructure to meet this accountability.

The Manager Environment Assurance drives quality across the Integrated Network Environment Services team by ensuring network test environment baselines are kept at the defined levels and that all changes are assessed for impact and appropriately scheduled before being implemented in the test environments.

As an integral member of the INES leadership team, the Manager Environment Assurance will lead, coach and mentor to ensure an effective, engaged and high performing team culture as well as setting the standards and practices to continuously improve environment quality (for all INES environments & IT interfaces).

The Manager Environment Assurance promotes a culture of quality with a focus on change management, automation of repeatable process and targeted auditing of build activities so a critical aspect of the role is to ensure test environment changes are managed through a structured and streamlined change management and approval process which is owned and run by the Environment Assurance team.

The role will also provide quality assurance of test environment builds through auditing the environment configuration and is accountable for managing any risks associated with environment quality that are picked up by the audit.

A bit about you

To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in senior leadership positions within the telecommunications / technology industries. You will have experience managing network test environments and labs and will have worked in an agile environment. We are looking for someone with exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiating skills with proven experience in network or IT change management and standard frameworks such as ITIL.
