A fantastic opportunity at nbn, Australia’s largest infrastructure project, as the Project Planning and Governance Lead, reporting to the Manager, Planning and Governance.

A bit about your role

As the Project Planning & Governance Lead, you will actively manage the Program risks through close engagement with each of the core projects to capture and define all risks being accountable for the ongoing tracking and mitigation planning. Your position will see you performing end-to-end program planning, alignment, and management across projects, while developing and maintaining project plans and schedules.

Establish and manage appropriate governance forums to align, monitor and control all projects within allocated Program, to where you will be accountable for project updates to SteerCo and ExCo, ensuring that all stakeholders are effectively engaged and clearly briefed on the status and relative priorities of all projects within the program.

Lastly, the Project Planning and Governance Lead will develop appropriate risk management frameworks to manage all program related risks, ensure mitigation plans are in place and manage the cross-Program communication of risks.

The right candidate will be someone who enjoys a fluid team, who likes to be proactive, with an eagerness to learn and grow. You will the opportunity to solve complex problems, conceptually and analytically describing different points of views from stakeholders, nbn staff, external suppliers and contractors’ perspectives.

We are looking for the type of candidate that naturally considers a creative approach to solutions, and can demonstrate polished interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills.
