The nbn Local Operations and Engagement Specialist is accountable for supporting the execution of the operational plan in support of the nbn Local operating model. This role works closely with the nbn Local leadership team to ensure a coordinated approach to required reporting, events and operational enablement and cross-functional activities.

The Operations & Engagement Specialist position is a national role that works closely with a large team of community engagement professionals within the Regional Development and Engagement business unit at nbn.

This team is at the frontline of nbn’s commitment for lifting the digital capability of regional Australia and increases community understanding and awareness of the nbn brand, product and services available to support them in making the most of our network.

The ideal candidate will be accountable in supporting the capability development of nbn local field teams in the various community engagement functions to leverage relevant tools, systems and processes that support the implementation and execution of the operating model for nbn local and implementation of nbn Business Performance Reporting (BPR) and HS&E governance framework.

This role will manage assets and event execution required to support campaigns, programs and partnerships for national / state activity on behalf of nbn Local field teams, and support development and execution of the onboarding plan for those parts of the nbn local model where nbn Local carries technical and functional leadership.

This role will also be responsible in developing digital capabilities in capturing insights and learnings from nbn Local field teams and from reporting sources to influence partnerships, programs and campaigns to align with customer needs, develop regional infrastructure by supporting implementation of nbn Local governance and pipeline management framework to assess, monitor and track co-investment within nbn Local as well as support the optimisation of the nbn Local operating model in the rollout of new and enhanced processes to increase efficiencies across the nbn Local team.

A bit about you

To be successful in this role, you will require extensive experience in operational support, project coordination or similar roles.

You are highly proficient in key corporate systems and platforms and MS Office suite in particular Excel and PowerPoint with good internal and external stakeholder management skills.

Additionally, the role will require effective collaboration skills working across nbn to support the execution of the nbn local operating model. Ideally the Specialist should be proficient in enterprise agility tools including Miro boards, MS Planner or similar.
