Job Summary

Our Technical Solution Specialist Team provide expertise and support to the Sales Teams across NetApp's entire Solutions portfolio. We bring deep, best in class technical capability coupled with sharp business acumen, and are comfortable articulating our solutions to developers, architects and boardrooms alike. This is a highly visible role with a focus on driving adoption of our technologies for existing and new applications. As a member of this team, you will significantly improve how our customers manage and control their data as well as implement our product/Hybrid Cloud strategies.

Job Requirements

  • You are responsible for leading and managing key complex solution opportunities
  • Engaging your customers daily, driving opportunities forward
  • Have a technical focus on Hybrid Cloud Technologies such as Enterprise Databases, VMware Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure, modern data analytics, Cyber Resilience and Storage as a Service
  • Co-ordinate cross-functional resources in engagements including Expert teams, Partners and Alliances
  • Assess customer needs and develop solution proposals which could include private, hybrid or cloud-native products and services
  • Strategise and hunt closely with account teams and sales leadership
  • Work with the broader NetApp team to respond to RFx's
  • Escalate issues that could impact business results
  • Co-ordinate local, national and international technical resources to ensure that customer requirements are met, and opportunities are successfully closed
  • Deepen your technical capabilities by learning new technologies via training and certifications
  • Support and engage with the broader Pre-Sales Teams providing knowledge sharing and expertise

Education

  • A curiosity, interest and passion for Cloud Technologies, Modern Data Lakes and Analytics, Cloud-resident workloads and Cloud Operations
  • Proven experience with virtualisation, Cloud Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure and/or GCP) and their specific architectures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An understanding of competitive landscapes
  • An ability to propose and expertly demonstrate solutions using presentations, existing customer or partner solutions, white board, demos, pilots, proof-of-concepts, etc.
  • Work best in a team selling environment
