We are proud to be the largest gold producer listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. From our Head Office in Melbourne, we work closely with our operations both local and global to safely operate and grow. Based on St Kilda Road, our Melbourne Head Office is easily accessible by public transport or car, with discounted parking available, and located across the road from the Albert Park Lake. Who we are looking for

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our high performing and collaborative Financial Planning and Analysis team. Reporting to the Group Manager (FP&A - Group Performance Management), you will be accountable for delivering high quality, value add analytics and reports, to support key company decision making and strategic direction. The key focus of this role will be:

  • Assist in the preparation of group management reporting requirements
  • Delivery of monthly financial & operating performance against target to the Board and Executives
  • Provide information and analysis for external publications
  • Analyse performance and key value drivers at a site and group level
  • Assist in the preparation of group quarterly forecasts
  • Assist in the monitoring and reporting of company incentive programs
  • Develop and standardise key business processes and reports, adopting a continuous improvement focus

To succeed in this role, you will be self-starter, who enjoys working in a collaborative and passionate team. You enjoy stakeholder interaction and driving key data results and you will ideally have experience in a similar role within a large-scale organisation, where you have successfully produced and analysed management reports and information. Your commercial problem-solving skills, high level of attention to detail and strong organisation and planning skills will see you succeed in this role.

Additionally, with your operational finance knowledge and analytical focus, you will display outstanding communication and systems skills (across the MS Office suite, in particular Excel). Previous experience using TM1 (or similar OLAP) and SAP software is advantageous. Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance or Economics are required. CA/CPA qualification is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of mining industry is also desirable but not essential.

Please note: This is a 12 month fixed term contract, based in Melbourne on a Monday to Friday roster.
