Cadia Valley Operations is located in Central Western New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional township of Orange and a convenient three hours from the capital city of Sydney. Who we’re looking for

Reporting to the Supervisor – Technical, The Inventory Control Advisor is the subject matter expert for all inventory maintenance and management activities.

You will be structured and well organised with exceptional time management skills and your stakeholder management and interpersonal skills will be impeccable.

Working in collaboration with the Senior Inventory Analyst you will optimise inventory to reduce inventory outages and ensure internal order fill rate objectives are met and exceeded. In addition, recommend improvements for and helps implement changes to the inventory control systems.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensure demand management tools used correctly to right size inventory levels and improve inventory turn rates.
  • Resolve out-of-stock situations, discovers and analyse discrepancies in inventory data
  • Assist with inspection of returned inventories and offers advice related to restocking, this includes assisting within the rotable item process – including repair and return as required.
  • Track incoming and outgoing products within the sphere of rotable goods and provide details related to going viability of rotable goods.
  • Provide inventory control reports as required, inventory usage, inventory turn rates, inventory gains and losses.
  • Maintain count accuracy (digital and physical counting) lead inventory count efforts and investigations for discrepancies as discovered.

To succeed in this role, you will have a strong demonstrated track record of working in a similar Supply and Logistics position in a demand management / inventory control capacity.

You will also possess the following:

  • Experience in Supply, Warehousing and/or Materials.
  • Management in mining, construction or manufacturing industries or related areas.
  • Mining / Resources industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP – WMS essential along with skills within similar ERP system.
  • Experienced to advanced abilities with Microsoft suite of programs.

Please note this is a 5/2 residential position.
