The Senior QA / QC position will support the PHOX Team to ensure the effective delivery and execution of the Prominent Hill roadmap growth strategy.

The successful candidate will have solid experience in a QA/QC role in a heavy industry environment. Leaving hierarchy at the door, you will build relationships with stakeholders and focus relentlessly on collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

The role will manage the day-to-day functions of a quality assurance and quality control, including its alignment and compliance with the work management processes and practices. Specifically, this includes:

  • Provide technical advice and assistance to the project team on all things quality related.
  • Assist the team in developing specifications and instructions.
  • Perform relevant material inspections, in accordance with governing standards and client specifications.
  • Assist with the production, completion, and collation of relevant verification records and ensure they are maintained in our document control system.
  • Preparation of audit reports and corrective action notice plans.
  • Implementation of best business practices.

The ideal candidate will thrive on innovation and seek new ideas from stakeholders to create value. You will be confident in bringing fresh thinking to old problems and will challenge the status quo for a future mine site.

  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to quality and their application within an organisation.
  • Well-developed communication style with the ability to develop and foster relationships across the PHOX project.
  • An agile mindset and a willingness to adopt a 'bias for action' over the perfect solution.
  • Resilience – an ability to find ways to execute new ideas even when there is resistance or lack of understanding.
  • Proven capability to translate strategic priorities into practical, pragmatic packages of work that will shift the practices and processes currently in place.
  • Helping others and being flexible to meet business needs
  • An ability to assist in developing a safe, environmental, and cultural awareness across the shift
  • Maintaining a high level of Environmental awareness and following all procedures.
