Reporting to the Executive Manager - Corporate Services, you will own and lead the technology and digital strategy for Port of Newcastle, across their cloud-first technology environment, transformational projects and investment in new digital innovation across their key strategic assets.
You’ll manage and plan the implementation of digital solutions, guide the business on technology trends and digital innovation to ensure business continuity, as well as meeting future requirements around automation, cyber security, digitisation, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), as the business grows.
In this newly created role, you will mentor and lead a current technology team of 6 (3 direct reports), translating business and customer needs into best practice people, process, technology and operational requirements.
You’ll be responsible for implementing solutions and architecture across data, applications and technology, managing risk, adapting to the changing demands of the industry, and ensure IT systems and infrastructure are secure and compliant with regulatory standards and in line with PON's cyber security strategy.
An experienced strategic technology leader, you’ll have demonstrated experience leading teams, guiding and influencing business on technology and digital transformation. You’ll have experience developing and executing strategic technology plans, aligned with the overall business strategic plan.
You’re an inclusive, collaborative technology leader, delivery-focused, with a strong track record in inspiring and building capability in your teams and respectfully engaging stakeholders through positive cultural change. You have experience leading and managing large IT and digital projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies.
Naturally, you will first seek to understand the current state and use a consultative approach to advise and influence key stakeholders on the future digital strategy, roadmap and vision for Port of Newcastle’s Technology and Digital Strategy.
