The Through Life Support (TLS) Engineer is part of a team of TLS engineers to support the Land 121 Program and will undertake RODUM investigation work, survey, quotation and input to Safety Investigation work relating to Logistics Vehicle and Modules.

As Through Life Support Engineer, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

  • Supporting the TLS Lead Engineer in developing, implementing and maintaining of the Contractor Engineering Management Plan;
  • Conducting engineering investigations, including input to Safety investigations;
  • Analysing Engineering Change Requests through the RDA Engineering Change Proposal process and participating in the RDA Engineering Review Board;
  • Coordinating developmental activities for Engineering Changes, including monitoring the input from the Design Engineering Team and other required specialist areas of expertise;
  • Coordinating the required development of, or amendment to, Technical Instructions and status tracking documents;
  • Supporting process improvement;
  • Providing TLS involvement in the RDA System Safety Program;
  • Providing TLS Engineering input into System Reviews and conducting as required;
  • Interfacing with In-Service Support Manager, Configuration Controller and Spare Parts Manager on matters relating to product changes; and
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers and RDA Engineering.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering;
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated application of formal Systems Engineering to product development;
  • Good understanding of application of System Safety principles, tools and processes;
  • Experience in interpreting and analysing complex functional requirements;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to resolve complex problems and issues;
  • Relevant experience in a related or similar industry;
  • Very good command of written and spoken English;
  • Willingness to travel, including international travel; and
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
