What is the role?

We’ve an exciting 6-month internship opportunity within our Strategy team at our head office in Macquarie Park, Australia. This core business function supports all Schneider Electric businesses across Australia and New Zealand with strategic opportunity assessment, competitive intelligence, strategy development, and strategy execution monitoring. Kicking off in January 2023, you will have an opportunity to really showcase your analytical and market research capabilities within a team that plays a central role in the commercial performance of the business within the Pacific Zone.

As a part of the team that develops a data-driven approach that informs and inspires commercial decision making, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Annual Market Review process to gather market and company data, run analysis and summarise the group performance in the competitive market
  • Support strategic initiatives in gathering internal information, running some analysis and preparing presentations with findings and recommendations
  • Develop competitive intelligence
  • Complete market research, prepare summary, draw insights
  • Develop financial models for market sizing, market projection and business cases
  • Reconcile market insights with the market assessment completed by each business
  • Support sustainability initiatives tracking and presentations
  • Establish a relationship network across the business and navigate through the broad organisation

About you

You have a master degree in business, finance or economics, a minimum of 6 to 12 months experience, preferably in consulting, strategy, or finance, and are excited by the idea of an internship in a multinational market leader. You are passionate about adding value in an organisation and contributing to business performance energises you. This role requires excellent communication skills, critical thinking, curiosity, together with analytical capabilities. As our successful candidate you are committed, eager to learn, and showing attention to detail. Some experience in a similar industry valued but not mandatory.
