Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, we have an exciting leadership opportunity for an Engineering Manager – Manufacturing, Adelaide to join our GSC Pacific Products team. This is a Senior Plant role with responsibility for the development and support of production facilities, processes and personnel. You will be managing the investment in new plant and equipment, implementing digital solutions in-line with our global Smart Factory program.

Some of your main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Managing team’s development, improvement and maintenance of equipment and processes centered on customer value creation
  • Ensure equipment is available according to the capacity required to generate customer satisfaction
  • Globally optimize the entity’s facilities to provide the required flexibility and elasticity through layouts
  • Enable flat production structures, high commonality and lean (family) processing according to the Schneider Production System (SPS) principles
  • Drive development towards a continuous improvement culture

About You:

You are passionate and want to impact our business. As the nature of communication is fluid and increasingly important in today’s business environment, the role requires an adaptive and agile approach, and it also requires an ethical consideration of the brand values, essence, and mission. If you don’t have an engineering degree, don’t worry as we will be open to considering Electricians having relevant experience!

In addition, you possess the following relevant skills and attributes to be successful:

  • At least seven years of demonstrable professional experience in manufacturing engineering. Successful leadership experience of a team of trades or production personnel within a maintenance and manufacturing engineering environment
  • A degree in Electrical engineering, management or related discipline. Appropriate trade qualification
  • Knowledge of programmed maintenance applications, as well as hands on experience with workplace design and the concepts of production flow in a lean environment
  • Competence with the MS Office suite of applications
