About the role

In the role of Reliability Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the Fixed Plant Maintenance team in data analysis, engineering, and defect elimination to improve the availability and performance of the GEMCO assets

This role is being offered on a 4:3 DS Roster, FIFO Cairns or Residential on Groote Eylandt on a full-time ongoing basis.

Some of your main responsibilities will include:

• Actively support the Maintenance team in areas of safety, cost reduction and production improvement
• Conducting analysis of equipment life cycle through monitoring reports, and integrity assessments
• Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis on equipment downtime and component failures
• Analyse and Report on plant and equipment availability and utilization, availability, and reliability
• Champion the Fixed Plant Condition Monitoring Program to improve asset management practices across the processing and logistics department
• Assist the Senior Reliability Engineer with inputs for financial budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting
• Detailed data analytics to optimise maintenance strategies and identify production and reliability improvement opportunities.

About you

You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic; and have a passion and commitment to be part of a high-performing team. You will have the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment, with demonstrated experience in asset management, reliability and maintenance engineering

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering or Asset Management (preferred) or trade qualified with relevant experience.
• Formal condition monitoring qualifications.
• Experience in a similar role within the mining or similar heavy industry
• Solid understanding of reliability centred maintenance, and the use of operational and condition monitoring data to develop preventative maintenance strategies
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills focusing on fixed plant equipment
• Experience with financial and availability budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Proficiency in software such as SAP, MS Office; Apollo RCA and OnePM will be highly regarded
