Contractor Management Administrator

Cannington is one of the world's largest and lowest-cost producers of silver and lead.  Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometers west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville.

Cannington mine provides on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as sporting and gym facilities.

About the role

The South32 Contractor Management System of Work has been developed to deliver a step-change improvement in the management of contractors from the time they enter a contractual arrangement to the time they exit site.

The role of the Contractor Management Administrator as a member of the Contractor Management Team, is to maintain the integrity of the Cannington Contractor Management System and to coach and support key stakeholders to meet their obligations under the system.

The role reports through to the Superintendent Contractor Management and works closely with the Contractor Management Specialist

This role is being offered as a 6-month fixed term contract, on a 4:3 roster FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane.

You will have the following responsibilities:

  • To maintain the integrity of the Cannington Contractor Management System
  • To coach, assist and support Contract Owners and other key stakeholders to complete their obligations under the Cannington Contractor Management System.
  • To provide advice and assistance to the Cannington Supply team on Contractor Management requirements and issues.
  • To provide feedback and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • To manage and maintain the Cannington Contractor Management support system
  • To identify and manage system enhancement opportunities
  • To be prepared to modify and grow accountabilities / responsibilities along with the Cannington Contractor Management System as it matures.

About you
