The Director - Program Service Delivery Federal is responsible for leading and managing the capture and delivery of high-quality, innovative program services to SYSTRA's federal clients. Over time, it is anticipated that the role will shift from initially being capture-focused to service-delivery focused. Domestic travel will be required.
This new role is targeted towards enabling SYSTRA's growth outside of the Department of Defence. The role will need the flexibility to manage opportunities across the business development and project delivery lifecycle, growing SYSTRA's presence across the Federal portfolio of clients and contracted projects over time. Federal clients refer to both government (national and state based) and companies that have national presence. In some cases, the end-client may vary from the service-delivery client.

In addition to standard SYSTRA Director responsibilities, the Director - Program Service Delivery Federal has the following focused responsibilities:


  • Leading and capturing new business opportunities and leading client engagement to secure new federal program service delivery contracts.

  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with federal clients and serve as the principal point of contact for program service delivery matters.

  • Leading delivery of a portfolio of services to align with client needs and SYSTRA's overall business objectives.

  • Representing SYSTRA at industry and professional forums and contributing to the broader growth and standing of the business.

  • Providing leadership and guidance to project delivery teams, ensuring that project objectives and milestones are met to client requirements and SYSTRA standards.

  • Collaborating with other SYSTRA departments and teams to ensure that program services are delivered in accordance with SYSTRA's overall business objectives, including strategically growing SYSTRA capabilities.
  • Managing the financial performance of federal program service delivery projects and ensuring that they are delivered in a commercially viable way.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong understanding of account management and program/project management best practices.
  • Strong experience in leading and managing teams of technically focused professionals.
  • Very strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to access, build and maintain networks and relationships with clients, particular at senior levels of the organisation.


Desirable skills:

  • Have at least 10 years of leadership experience in successful program service delivery, with a strong focus on the federal (non-Defence) sector.
  • Hold relevant graduate and post-graduate qualifications in a relevant field.
  • Hold certification issued by a professional body in a relevant professional discipline, or equivalent experience.
