We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.
About the role
Are you an enthusiastic Financial Analyst who is passionate about building financial models and evaluating commercial arrangements?
We are looking for a positive team member who enjoys being challenged and solving complex problems to join our Financial Modelling and Analysis team.
In this role you will enhance decision making by providing timely and accurate financial, economic and quantitative modelling, analysis and advice. You will also develop quality outcomes and products that are understood by a diverse group of stakeholders.

You will have experience and knowledge of financial analysis with tertiary qualifications in either commerce, finance or economics; or significant work experience in a similar role. This includes competency in computer systems and their application to financial analysis and modelling, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Must demonstrate the understanding of commercial, economic, finance and accounting principles. The addition of an understanding of economic regulation and the financial/commercial operating environment of a regulated monopoly would be advantageous to this position.
You must be a team player with sound communication and interpersonal skills. You must able to translate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders and deliver within tight time frames.
