We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.

About the role

As a Finance Business Partner you are responsible for providing strategic business partnering support to the business to enable informed business decision making that will drive delivery of our strategic objectives.

The role will provide an opportunity to work in a dynamic and changing environment and acts as the key point of contact for finance related activity, including financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting, key business insights & commentary of business performance. This role has the key focus of delivering on customer service for the Governance and CEO business unit whist supporting the Network, Non Network and Operation area.

About you

To be successful you will establish and foster trusting stakeholder relationships, through working collaboratively and guiding the business to ensure robust financial oversight and drive business improvement outcomes.

You will demonstrate strong problem solving and solution skills, analytical and critical thinking gained within a professional environment while having proven excellent time management abilities to manage several priorities and interdependencies.

A confident communicator with highly developed attention to detail with ability to accurately analyse and interpret financial data and link them to corporate strategic goals. The ability to successfully influence non-finance partners and strategic initiatives to drive the business forward is a must.

Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce or Accounting, CPA/CA (or equivalent) qualified or working towards and have knowledge and experience in financial and management accounting is a must.
