About Your Role

From take-off to landing, Thales offers the most complete range of software solutions to provide dynamic Air Traffic Services to support today's growing domestic and international travel requirements. Utilising this knowledge and experience Thales Australia will deliver a harmonised Civil/Military Air Traffic Management System (CMATS) in Australia to Airservices Australia and Defence.

The Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Department provides ILS capability to Bids, Projects and after-market programs (system enhancements, refreshes, upgrades, and replacements) to existing Thales Australia customers in support of commissioned systems.


As an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer, you will be conducting Logistic Support Analysis (LSA), however the role will transition to be an integral part of defining and developing an integrated support solution for the OneSKY programme.

  • Support the delivery of all ILS aspects of the Acquisition Contract and the subsequent Support Contract

  • Undertake assigned ILS project work packages (WP) for the Project

  • Support improvement initiatives for ILS capabilities

  • Support the ILS and Support team in working with all stakeholders on Project related matters

  • Actively contribute to the development of ILS plans and deliverables for Thales products and services

How About You?

  • Degree or Diploma in engineering, or alternate experience as deemed appropriate

  • Formal undergraduate or postgraduate training in ILS, or sufficient experience in the ILS engineering discipline a must

  • ASDEFCON experience or exposure working within in the Defence industry is highly desirable

  • Exposure to working within projects with aggressive deadlines

  • Knowledge and experience working with related ILS standards

  • Skilled in various software tools used to perform ILS and Support tasks ideally Windchill/Eagle LSAR etc

  • Skilled in the use of MS Office Suite of Tools especially Excel and Access

  • Highly autonomous and resourceful with a positive work ethic
