About Your Role

As part of our Australian Munitions operations, our Mulwala site produces a range of products for the Defence and commercial markets. Due to a recent promotion, we are currently seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our complex manufacturing operations as you take the lead role within a Major Hazard Facility, enjoying a new career challenge and making an impact on our ongoing growth and success.

  • Leading our Mulwala operations with a key focus on Strategy, ensuring effective operational performance, delivering against strategic plans and playing a central role in achievement of business objectives

  • Driving an HSE focused culture within a Major Hazard Facility in leading a large workforce, meeting customer needs and supporting high performance across all site operations

  • Collaborate with a variety of key internal and external stakeholders, navigating the complexity of a diverse organisation with several key functional areas that will support you and your teams

  • Champion the successful delivery of agreed business improvement initiatives and lead from the front to leverage knowledge, technology and innovation across; LEAN, HSE and other Transformation activities that support our future readiness

  • Maintain a growth mindset as you leverage a passionate and skilled workforce that continues to drive our ongoing success in markets that are full of opportunity

  • Actively role model our Leadership behaviours, coaching and mentoring others as you utilise your skills and experience to ensure future business capability to meet the challenges of tomorrow

How About You?

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications coupled with significant experience in a similar General Management or senior business leadership position

  • Proven success in defining, driving and delivering business performance within a large-scale organisation

  • Depth of proven leadership capability with robust generalist skills and experience across; Project Management, Risk Management, Commercial/Bids, LEAN/Business Improvement and a role model in all things HSE

  • Strong track record when it comes to relationships and a proven ability to oversee business operations, while collaborating with varied stakeholder groups to achieve key objectives e.g. Transformation

  • Genuine commercial operator with the ability to shift between operational and strategic priorities, utilising data and key metrics to shape decisions that deliver against business objectives

  • Those with a working knowledge and/or background within the Defence industry or Manufacturing sector/s will be viewed favourably
