The Star is growing as part of our transformation and renewal strategy. To support this essential function, we are seeking a highly ethical Senior Breach Specialist QLD to join our Risk and Compliance Team.

Reporting to the Head of Breaches and Whistle-blower Governance, you will be responsible for leading breach reporting in QLD including coordinating the Breach Management Committee

This role can be based at our Gold Coast or Brisbane location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the team for breach report management in QLD in accordance with the Breach management standard and processes
  • Coordinate the Breach Management Committee for QLD, including identification, review, challenge and support to Line 1 to prepare high quality and timely breach reports for the relevant regulators
  • Determine actions to investigate breaches to understand the extent and circumstances of the breach
  • Monitor incoming reports received via the Rely Platform and responding and assessing these reports before undertaking the necessary steps to ensure the correct processing are being followed

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in a legal or compliance role
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement and manage breach processes
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Relevant experience working with Regulators, ideally from Casino or Gaming industry preferred but not essential
  • Accreditation with the Australasian Compliance Institute
