UGL are currently seeking Welders for our site in Townsville

About the role

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will see you working on a rail component overhaul line conducting general maintenance as well as servicing and general workshop duties as required.

Your main responsibilities will include\:

  • Clean and prepare metal, such as mild, alloy and stainless steel, aluminium and copper, by gouging, bevelling, grinding or filing;
  • Weld pressure containing parts or structural members using a variety of welding processes;
  • Will be required to work at heights

Requirements

  • Trade Certificate
  • Industry experience in welding processes to be used (MMAW minimum)
  • Current weld test in 6G weld procedure 560A minimum
  • Elevated Work Platform Ticket preferred but not necessary
  • 'C' Class Drivers License
  • Able to perform duties within the trade, maintaining high standards in both Safety and Quality.
  • Able to work with fabrication drawings, specifications and marking plans.
