About the role:
Our Development Services team plays a critical role at Unitywater in providing a streamlined development applications and management process whilst developing income generating opportunities for Unitywater and focusing on continuously improving the process. As a Development Officer, you will evaluate development related connection applications against technical and service standards, to ensure we are providing our customers with efficient water supply and sewerage services. You will also provide technical advice and guidance in an approvals function for water and sewerage connection to development.

About you:
You will have a knowledge of or the ability to gain knowledge of the Sustainable Planning Act and Integrated Development Assessment System, South East Queensland Water (Distribution and Retail Restructuring) Act, the Environmental Protection Act and related Regulations, South-East Queensland Design and Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards related to water supply and sewerage infrastructure. Additionally, relevant industry experience and/or qualifications such as a Degree, Bachelor, or Diploma in Civil Engineering of similar is required.
