Renewals Engineer

About the role:
As the Renewals Engineer, you will work with a team of experienced Asset Performance Engineers in the Asset Lifecycle team in supporting the development of renewals projects for sewer and water network assets and sewerage treatment plants. You will also be engaged in optioneering to determine best economic solution, asset selection, concept design, cost estimating and business case development. Additional key responsibilities will include:
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret data relating to the maintenance and operational performance of assets.
  • Develop long and short-term programs for the replacement of infrastructure (water and sewerage) including review of content with stakeholders.
  • Assist with asset criticality, condition, performance, and risk reviews to identify renewal candidates and most appropriate renewal solutions.
  • Prepare technical and analytical material to demonstrate infrastructure asset performance and the operational risk to service.
  • Undertake research and design of various water and wastewater infrastructure assets as well as continuous improvement or failure investigations of existing assets.

About you:

  • General understanding of Asset Management principles, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Bachelor of Engineering or demonstrated experience in a similar position.
  • An understanding of water and sewerage infrastructure, and maintenance management and condition monitoring processes will be highly regarded.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong safety focus and a collaborative approach in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
