About the role:
Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Delivery, the Contract Lead will provide strategic commercial support to the delivery of capital projects across our Sewage Treatment Plants project of works. You will drive industry best practice on the application of commercial models in capital projects, providing commercial and contractual advice to Project Managers, negotiating commercial outcomes with a focus on value for money, efficiency, and effectiveness. A key focus of this position will be to lead the development and implementation of fit for purpose commercial strategies for capital works contracts, as well as lead the management of contracts within the Capital Delivery portfolio. Additionally, you will provide advice on overall commercial strategy and the implementation of contract provisions for capital projects.

About you:

  • Extensive experience in managing commercial and contractual requirement of complex infrastructure projects, ideally coupled with a degree in quantity surveying, commercial or legal disciplines.
  • Experience in contract management within a commercial construction environment; and in leading contract management resources to ensure delivery of a capital program of works for a large infrastructure company.
  • Previous experience in the application of commercial delivery models including but not limited to Design and Construct, Engineering Procurement Construction Management and Principal Contractor.
  • Previous experience with the implementation and participation in collaborative commercial partnership models.
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement skills and a natural ability to develop key relationships.
  • A passion to drive change and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
